Zoom app guide

How to add the Agent Serve app to Zoom, use Zoom meetings and recordings in your AI agents, and remove the app, plus how Agent Serve handles your Zoom data.
The short version
- Agent Serve is the AI workspace where teams build, deploy, and manage AI agents. The Zoom app lets those agents create and manage your Zoom meetings and cloud recordings.
- You connect Zoom from Integrations in Agent Serve and approve access on Zoom’s own sign-in page.
- Agent Serve calls Zoom only when you, Chat or one of your agents runs a Zoom action.
- Remove the app in Agent Serve or in the Zoom App Marketplace at any time. Either way, Agent Serve deletes your Zoom tokens.
Before you start
- An Agent Serve account. Accounts are created by invitation, so request access for your team or accept an invitation from your workspace admin.
- A Zoom account. Actions on cloud recordings need a Zoom plan that includes cloud recording.
Add the Zoom app
- Sign in to Agent Serve and open your workspace.
- In the sidebar, click Integrations.
- Find Zoom and click Connect. You can also open the Zoom page and click Connect Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom if asked, review the permissions, and click Allow.
- You return to Agent Serve, and your Zoom account appears under Connected.
Permissions Agent Serve requests
Agent Serve asks only for the Zoom scopes its Zoom actions need. Each scope is used only when you or your agent runs the matching action.
| Scope | What Agent Serve uses it for |
|---|---|
user:read:user | Read your Zoom profile (user ID, name and email) to identify the connected account and list your own meetings by default. |
meeting:read:meeting | Get Meeting: read the details of a meeting you choose. |
meeting:write:meeting | Create Meeting: schedule a new meeting on your account. |
meeting:update:meeting | Update Meeting: change the topic, time or settings of a meeting. |
meeting:delete:meeting | Delete Meeting: cancel a meeting or one occurrence of it. |
meeting:read:list_meetings | List Meetings: list scheduled, live, upcoming or past meetings. |
meeting:read:invitation | Get Meeting Invitation: read the invitation text to share it. |
meeting:read:list_past_participants | List Past Participants: list who joined a meeting that has ended. |
cloud_recording:read:list_user_recordings | List Recordings: list your cloud recordings for a date range. |
cloud_recording:read:list_recording_files | Get Meeting Recordings: read the recording files of one meeting. |
cloud_recording:delete:recording_file | Delete Recording: move a meeting’s recordings to the Zoom trash or delete them permanently. |
Use Zoom in Agent Serve
Once Zoom is connected, Agent Serve offers these Zoom actions. Each one runs with the permissions of the Zoom account you connected.
- Create Meeting: scheduled, instant or recurring meetings, with a topic, start time, duration, time zone, passcode, agenda and settings such as waiting room or auto recording.
- List Meetings, Get Meeting and Get Meeting Invitation: find meetings and read their details or invitation text.
- Update Meeting and Delete Meeting: change a meeting, or cancel it or one of its occurrences.
- List Recordings and Get Meeting Recordings: find cloud recordings and their files.
- Delete Recording: move recordings to the Zoom trash or delete them permanently.
- List Past Participants: see who joined a meeting that has ended.
In Chat
Ask Chat in plain language. For example: “Schedule a 30-minute Zoom meeting called Weekly sync for tomorrow at 10:00 Berlin time and give me the invitation text.” Chat creates the meeting with Create Meeting and reads the text with Get Meeting Invitation.
In a workflow
Open a workflow, add a Zoom block, choose your connected Zoom account, and pick an operation. For example, an agent can run List Recordings every Monday, pass the list to an AI block that writes a summary, and post it to your team. Inputs can use outputs from earlier blocks, such as a meeting ID returned by Create Meeting.
Remove the Zoom app
In Agent Serve
- In the sidebar, click Integrations.
- Under Connected, open your Zoom connection.
- Click Disconnect, then click Disconnect again to confirm.
In Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage, then Added Apps.
- Find Agent Serve and click Remove.
What happens to your data
- Disconnect in Agent Serve deletes the Zoom connection and removes it from the workflows that used it. Agent Serve deletes the stored Zoom tokens once no other workspace still uses that connection.
- Remove in Zoom makes Zoom notify Agent Serve. Agent Serve then deletes every Zoom connection for that Zoom account, including its tokens, Zoom user ID, name and email, and any Zoom connection your organization manages for that Zoom account.
- Workflows that used the deleted connection stop running Zoom actions until someone connects Zoom again.
- Results of earlier runs, such as meeting details a Zoom action returned, stay in your run logs until your organization’s log retention setting deletes them.
- Disconnecting in Agent Serve does not remove the app from your Zoom account. To revoke access in Zoom too, also remove it in the Zoom App Marketplace.
How Agent Serve handles Zoom data
- Agent Serve stores the Zoom access and refresh tokens, your Zoom user ID, and the name and email of the connected Zoom account. It does not copy your meetings or recordings in the background.
- Tokens are stored in Agent Serve’s database on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany, which is encrypted at rest with AES-256. Data travels to and from Agent Serve and Zoom over TLS.
- Tokens of Zoom connections your organization manages through Credential Groups are also encrypted by Agent Serve with AES-256-GCM before they are stored.
- When an agent passes Zoom data to an AI model, it goes to the model provider your workspace uses for that step.
- Agent Serve does not sell your data and does not use it to train AI models.
